About us

The McGough Foundation has been established to provide financial assistance to aspiring Irish dancers, choreographers, and artists so they can follow their dreams in the arts. To provide the gift of dance to those who may not have the financial ability to access the opportunity, or to underserved areas where Irish dancing is not offered in a particular community. We have a focus on socioeconomics with an emphasis on increasing racial diversification and representation.

Irish dance is constantly evolving and changing and has become a world-renowned art form on a global scale. Our goal is to foster and develop top talent within the Irish dance art space, but beyond into collegiate and continued higher education.

The McGough Foundation strives to aid children through three branches of financial aid: 1) Tuition Assistance for enrollment with the McGough Academy, 2) Travel Assistance to travel globally for the competition team as the majority of the championships are held in Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada, Australia and the Continental USA and 3) Financial Assistance for college scholarships to Irish dancers who have shown exemplary achievement in school, volunteerism, and dedication to Irish dance.

The foundation has attracted immense interest and support, but we cannot offer our generous awards without your continued support. The McGough Foundation is a non-profit organization, and all net proceeds will be used to provide the financial awards that will be granted annually. If there is a specific branch you would like your donation to contribute towards, we will honor your request!
